Description
Celebrate the 40th anniversary of Toikka Birds with the limited edition 2012 Annual Bird and Egg Set - Mirella. According to Professor Oiva Toikka, black and white are colors of good taste, so the Mirella set is made in the best of taste. Dressed in its best, the Mirella bird is plump, but charmingly so.

The egg, too is rotund, showing off the intricate striped pattern. A black glass band is rotated around a clear glass bubble infused with white powder to achieve the striped effect on both the the egg and bird.

As a part of the 2012 collection, the Mirella Set celebrates 40 years of innovative and stylish Oiva Toikka birds. The 2012 collection of birds by Oiva Toikka are individually mouth-blown by the master glassblowers at iittalas glassworks in Nuutajrvi, Finland. Each handcrafted iittala Toikka Annual Mirella Egg carries the etched signature O. Toikka Nuutajrvi on its base to ensure its authenticity.
