In 2016, iittala had its second annual "Bird and the City" collection, in which influencers from around the world provided inspiration to Toikka for a bird representing their home city. This clear bird was inspired by Megan Milkowski of GlassBirds.com's vision of Minneapolis, and only 200 numbered pieces of the design were made. The green stripe down the center represents the Mississippi river, while the white lines represent the windy winters of the city.
