Pale Male, a red-tailed hawk that has called New York Citys Central Park home for nearly two decades, is an awe inspiring bird that is adored by many. Named for his unusually light coloring, Pale Male was the first hawk of his kind to take up residence in Central Park, setting up his nest on one of Fifth Avenues most exclusive apartment buildings. Once admiring him from Central Parks model boat lake, New Yorkers have been enamored with Pale Male for many years.This beautiful mouth-blown bird features an expansive ivory body intricately marbled with a stunning red tail and brilliant metallic beak. This nearly life-size statue is an amazing tribute to the bird that has inspired so many. Only 1000 of these were blown and each unique variation is numbered.
