Crafted exclusively for GlassBirds.com as part of our Bianco Blu Custom Collection, this stunning little bird gets its inspiration from the beautiful coloring of the Orange Headed Thrush. This impressive mouth-blown glass creation would look magnificent soaking up the rays while it sits on a windowsill in your home. The semi-transparent teal glass body is attractively adorned with a cascade of bubbles, giving the bird the appearance of texture while remaining smooth. Atop its graceful body, rests a rich orange head and pointy beak.
Crafted in Fiskars, Finland exclusively for GlassBirds.com, the Bianco Blu Orange Thrush is truly a one-of-a-kind piece of art you won't find anywhere else. The bird was designed by artist Tarmo Maaronen and mouth-blown by a small team of skilled blowers. Maaronen was born in 1963 in Urjala, Finland and has been blowing glass since 1979. He worked as a teacher of Scandinavian glass techniques from 1995-1997, until he founded his own glass studio Bianco Blu.
