Designed by Anu Penttinen the color departure from her usual vibrantly hued glass birds, Sweet Licorice takes a smart leap in the opposite direction. Shiny black from head to base, the only use of color is in the eyes and its banana yellow beak. The restricted use of color allows the details and the subtle mouth-blown details to be brought to the surface. Crafted in Finland by master glass blowers, the skill and craftsmanship that goes into each unique bird is astounding and a testament to the millennia-old tradition of the Finnish glass factory.
