More about iittala Toikka Western March Designed by Finnish artist Oiva Toikka, iittala’s Western March is a remarkable example of iittala’s glass-blowing craftsmanship. The bird has a smooth, peach-pink hue with a darker area on its back that reveals a striking contrast with an occasional spotted white patterning on gold. The Western March has a broad, flat tail and curved, wide beak and is leaning forward in a pecking position. On the base of each bird is the signature of the artist, Oiva Toikka, and of his studio in Nuutajärvi, Finland.
