2012 iittala Toikka Birds

As we enter the year 2012, iittala designer Oiva Toikka’s world renowned glass birds celebrate their 40th anniversary. Oiva Toikka designed his first birds in the 1970s -and now, 40 years later his birds have gained quite a loyal following. This year, new birds and popular classics enter the collection, combining new beauties with old classics to make a group of breathtaking colors and shapes. From the 2012 Annual bird and egg, Mirella, to the Festive Catcher or Crow, this group of birds is a striking testament to the work of Oiva Toikka, and the work he will continue to create.
